Sunday - Mass / Market / Laundry

Sunday, March 22, 2009 Mass and the Market
Up this morning by 7:30, dressed in our Sunday best clothes adding lipstick and earings to enjoy another wonderful breakfast brunch here in our hotel. We took our computers down with us and was so surprised to hear from Joan at the Bradenton Herald, our local newspaper, whom I had sent a short note and picture of us at the Windmill yesterday hoping that she would publish it in the travel section of our newspaper. She is interested in our trip and would like to find more out about our trip so I have written back and included some of Martha’s long journals for her to read. Would be so exciting if she does include some of our writings in the travel section.
Dressing warmly, it is chilly outside today, we wandered around the Sunday Market until time for Mass. Today we did not have the high Mass like last Sunday but instead it was very much a childrens Mass with them doing all the reading etc. We did have the local choir but not the big one that we so enjoyed last Sunday. We have been having lots of fun playing cards and using our computers today…. A lot of time spent decided which pictures to keep. That’s that problem witth a ditigal camera… we just snap away all the time and then have to make choices of which ones to keep. In trying to keep our suitcases from being overloaded with papers, brochures etc… we just take pictures of everything and then throw away the original receipts and brochures so everything is on our computer. Am going to add 2 pictures today…. The bowl is what Alain gave us at the Olive Mill and the other is of us playing cards last night. We are really going to miss this wonderful double desk that we have in our room.
This afternoon we will doing up our laundry and packing our suitcases for our travels tomorrow to Nice. Also I am checking the internet on a regular basis watching for word that my daughters have arrived in London safetly. The three of them are spending this next week in London and Paris….Debbie & Judy will return to the states after one week and MaryBeth will visit her son in Germany before returning home. Well we walked to the laundry with our dirty clothes only to find that it was closed…back to the hotel for directions to another laundry…after a few miss turns we did locate the new place and soon had our clean clothes back into the bag and on our way home.
The next post should be from Nice.
