Climbing the Holy Stairs

This is me (in pink scarf)
almost on my last step
climbing (on my knees) the
28 steps to the Holy Stairs.











In 328 Emperor Constantine's
mother (Saint Helena) brought
home the marble steps of
Pontius Pilate's residence.
Jesus climbed these steps on
the day he was sentenced
to death. Each day hundreds
of people climb these steps
on their knees reciting
prayers on each step.


The second picture shows
me about half way up
the stairs ...

We have had a wonderful
day in Rome. Visiting Seven
different Churches.

Have much to write about, but it will have
to wait until tomorrow.

Bad news is...with only 30 days left I have developed
a bad cold.....
