Another Look at the London Eye

At 135 metres, the British Airways London Eye is the worlds tallest observation wheel, with 40 kilometre panoramic views on a clear day. Back in February it was sunset and not a clear day when we boarded this giant wheel located on the Thames River in London.

But, what a view we were given our glass capsule, one of 32, slowly left the ground and began it's slow gradual flight that would give us views of not only the river, but many of the places we had just visited such as Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, St.Paul's Cathedral and the famous bridges that cross the Thames River. It had begun to rain lightly just as we entered the Eye but watching the sun set over these impressive building was a sight that I will never forget.

If you plan to be in London anytime soon, please make sure that the London Eye is included in your plans of places to visit. The ride last approximately 30 minutes and is well worth the cost of the ticket.

My plans on placing the above photos did not work out well... but hope that you will enjoy them.
