Today we were up by 8 as we needed to get an early start for the Big Sunday Marche Aux. Puces which is another name for an outdoor market that has absolutely everything for sale. When I say it's huge, I am not kidding...we walked forever and saw so many neat and different things for sale. I found a really neat small little keepsake box sitting on a beautiful little table all by itself....it called out to me to be brought home and after all it was very small
And was exactly what I was looking for...the nice Frenchman brought the price down alittle and we sealed the deal with my first real air kiss on each side of my face....
After we left the market,Bonnie went back to the apartment for a rest, both she and Jane have colds. The rest of us got on the train to visit Saint Denis Basilica Cathedral where all French Royals are buried. it was another huge old church.... I continue to be so amazed at the size of these buildings. It is said that during the revolution many of the bones were removed from their crypts....but it is still an amazing to wander around and read all of the names we've read about in stories and history of the French people. Finish later. ......
